Commissioned by Ferrari in 2004 as a gift to participants of the 40th 275 Tour, this silhouette sculpture was produced in Lucca, Italy by Massimo del Chiaro Fonderia d’Arte in a run of just 100 examples. This is #56.
Cast in bronze using the lost wax method and patinized with several thin, bare metal accents.
Presented to tour participants in a red display box, this sculpture perfectly captures the sensuous lines of the famed 275GTB. Measures approximately 11.5”x 5”x 3”.
Exceedingly rare, the sculpture presents as new.
The display box shows some cosmetic wear from age, handling and from the heavy sculpture sliding around but is still perfectly serviceable.
This is an unusual opportunity to purchase a Ferrari factory gift to some of their most elite clientele.
It is worth noting that a 275GTB formerly owned by Steve McQueen sold for nearly $5.4M in 2023 and thus seems unlikely that any factory licensed 275 memorabilia will ever go down in value.
Indeed, a must have for the serious Ferrari enthusiast!
