The Minnesota Museum, located inMinneapolis, took on a different lookwhen it opened its doors for theFirst Annual Minnesota Museum Motor-cycle Show. Bikes from all over the Mid-west were invited and their attendanceproved to be high. Quality bikes of everydescription were featured. Many of theareas major custom builders projects wereshowcased as well as some fine street rid-den customs, classics, drag bikes, fulldressers and even the latest in hill climbers.The shows producer, Marlyn Klunder,attempted to bring a wide array of themotorcycling world together and succeeded.Besides the fine machinery, shops wereinvited to show their wares as a service tothe bikers in attendance. Another plus forvisitors to the show was the MinnesotaMotorcycle Riders booth which suppliedfirst hand information on the on going fightto repeal the states helmet law.The first year of a show doesn’t alwaysturn out to be as successful as the promoterswould like. In this case, however, every-thing went well and plans for expandingnext years gathering are already in theworks, and should turn out to be anotherclass act from the bros up north.
