GOLF
On April 23, Mr. Mauseth issued the yearly call
for golfers. He pronounced the ultimatum that the
try-outs would be held rain or shine. Did it rain!
And how! But the players played the initial round
in the driving rain on the Ojibwa course.
made the greens very slow and the tees very slippery.
However the ardor of the contenders was not damp-
ened even if the players themselves were.

On April 25, the match was played at the Eau
Claire Country Club links, the teams of LaCrosse
Logan, LaCrosse Central, Eau Claire and Chippewa,
participating. The local team was defeated, chiefly
because of a lack of practice.

Like Christmas, Stunt Night comes but once a
year; but like Christmas, it is anticipated for many,
many weeks, and remembered happily for many
more.
This year it was of a somewhat different nature,
the carnival element being eliminated, and the main
show in the auditorium as well as the floor show in
the gymnasium being given twice. By this method
much of the congestion in the building was avoided
and every one was enabled to see both shows.
The main show was, as usual, an excellent produc-
tion. It was divided into four unrelated acts. The
first represented "The Coming of the Rajah" and
portrayed a group of students dancing and singing.
The second part of it was a farce with a touch of

THE MO
Junior E
The major social event of Chippewa Falls High
School-the Junior Prom was held at the Junior
High School Gymnasium on Saturday, May 4.
The decoration motive was Dutch. Tulips, Lat-
tice, wooden shoes, and windmills furnished a typical
Dutch setting for this elaborate event. Entertain-
ment was given in Dutch style to harmonize with
the surroundings. Joan and Jimmy Bailey, Barbara
Anne Dreher, Jane Frenette and Roberta Hanzlik
rendered novelty dance numbers. A vocal solo,
The Little Dutch Mill, was given by Lorraine
Schwaner.
The main event of the evening the grand march
-was staged at 10:30 with the Prom King, Lester
Krause, and the Queen, Lou Lange, leading the
procession to the tune of Jack Zesiger's orchestra.
The following committees under the supervision
of the class advisers, Miss Walsh and Mr. Wrage,
spent a great deal of time in putting this event over
successfully: Decoration committee: William Lar-
