1930s/40s Woods Motor Co. Chino CA Paper archive Photo Checks Deeds 1st RR CAR For Sale

This is a great collection of paper work from the Woods Motor Co. based in Chino, CA. The lot includes a variety of documents such as photo checks, invoices, deeds, and other papers from the 1920s through 1940s. These pieces provide a unique insight into the history of the company and the era in which they were produced. Included are insurance policies, invoices, escrow papers, land deeds, sales contracts, sales reports, and more. There is even dues payment documentation for an employment agency likely for their daughter in law. This lot would make a wonderful addition to any collection of vintage documents or automotive memorabilia.

Included with the lot is a matted photo measuring 10 x 12”. The photo depicts the “First Trackless Train in America” which stopped right in front of the Woods Motor Co. in Chino, California. From the writing on the side it seems like this motorized train offered service to both the MGM lot and Gruman’s Egyptian Theater.
