Grand Army of the Republic/Veterans of the Republic reunion banner. The VFW was formed in 1914 from Spanish American War veteran organizations. Most of the US Civil War veterans were long past dad before World War II, but there were some claiming to be Civil War veterans into the 1950’s. Most of the veterans who were living in the 1950’s were proven to never have served and in most cases weren’t even born yet. Banner has stains, toning, and wear.
