1909 Ripon College football team. The coach that season was Fred Luehring. He is back row left. Luehring was a Chicago University alum. He came from the Amos Alonzo Stagg coaching system. Luehring was heavily involved Olympic athletics. In 1932 he was a member of the US Olympic swimming committee. Luehring is credited with starting the Nebraska Cornhuskers swim program. Luehring actually coached Princeton from 1913-20. About 50 years before Pete Carrill’s 30 year reign. Postcard is used. Stains, tong and wear. Feel free to ask questions.
