This old postcard was mailed in 1899. I\'ve used Google translate to help us understand - the title is \"A Victim of Drunkenness\". Here\'s how the rest of the card translates:\"As everyone knows, drinking is a great evil and many people have been flagrating from an early age, proved by this thirsty rascal. But if you don\'t push it any further, if you just stand there, it doesn\'t mean anything if it only makes you suffer.\"
So...I don\'t know if the woman became pregnant because she or the man was drinking, or if maybe the baby is suffering from the alcohol syndrome we know about today. Not sure how accurate the Google translate makes this, you decide! Interesting card!
