- There are a few pages of history included re: the town of Saint Johnsville. It covers the period from 1838 - 1988. I seen some of the names in the article also in the ledger. John C. Nellis is mentioned in the article as being the wealthiest man in the town. His name is also seen in the ledger. Benjamin Groff and John Klock are also in the article and seen in the ledger. There are so many names in this ledger. First and last.
- I believe it is an account of payments received for merchandise or services.I seen entries for rags, copper, stove pipe, nails.
- There are 360 pages in this ledger. They all have writing on them. Some have more writing than others.
- Ledger measures approximately 16" x 11". It weighs 7 pounds 6 ounces prior to packaging.
