(6) Soviet Cosmonaut signed 1975 First Day Covers: (2) Feb. 11, (4) July 15: $360.00
This exceptional set of six Soviet First Day Covers bears the rare and coveted signatures of Soviet cosmonauts A. Leonov and V. Kubasov who were visiting the U.S. (Houston, Texas) as participants in the Apollo-Soyuz Test Project, which was the first international human spaceflight. On July 15, 1975, an Apollo spacecraft launched carrying a crew of three and docked two days later on July 17, with a Soyuz spacecraft and its crew of two.The covers are dated (2) February 11 and (4) July 15, 1975, and are a must-have for collectors of space memorabilia. These original pieces were manufactured in the United States and are in excellent condition. The signatures are unauthenticated, but the authenticity of the provenance is not questioned. Don't miss the opportunity to own a piece of space history. Three of the envelopes have a U.S. 10-cent double-American flags stamp; two have U.S. 10-cent Skylab stamp + a Soviet stamp; one envelop has only a Soviet stamp.
