View Larger Image   Disston D-8 Hand-Saw 7 TPI D8 Crosscut   Description: This is a nice, clean 26" long blade, 7 point crosscut (could be used to rip also) hand-saw marked, with the hanging scale (D8) etch, but is very light, just enough etch still visiable to know it is a D8 Disston blade. The blade marked "7" just below the handle on the steel (the teeth per inch) "DISSTON * U.S.A. *" on the brass medallion on the handle. Nice clean applewood handle with some wear, solid, not cracked, not chipped, but has some scratches, dings, and some minor staining. The brass hardware appears to be in very good condition, the handle fits tightly. The blade is very straight, with light staining, some pitting but none bad enough to cause use problems, no missing teeth, about 95% sharpness. This saw was sharpened, used a few time since and cuts just fine. A very good quality saw from the early 1930's era.
