They look great. I tried them both on a 2x4 with a 3/4" hole. My bench is 2. 5" thick. They held thick and thin stock really well. I might need to regrind the tip for flatter boards. These holdfasts are great. I will probably buy 2 more later on when I finish the bench. I just wish he made more products. Like bench stops or planing stops. Keep up the great work

I have read that some holdfasts don't work very well or need really thick wood in which to be inserted. Mine work great through 2" planks. Very happy with the purchase. (I have given 5 stars but since the colors don't change I cannot tell if I selected 1 or 5!)
