The Powermatic 3 is indeed better (i.e., can stuff more tubes faster) than either Powermatic 2 or 4. However, previous experience with either of the latter two (or any similar machine) is a useful prerequisite in terms of having a feel for the proper moisture content and shred size, otherwise the Powermatic 3 may be a bit difficult to use effectively at first. Perry's Powermatics offers the best price on ebay for this machine (fresh from the factory) and is highly recommended. Thanks guys!
