I am very pleased with my purchase. This is the real deal. I did a bit of Tim Tayloring - upgraded the bulb to a 6Volt Ruiandsion brand screw base LED bulb. I had to cut the flange from a std incandescent bulb, & slide it over the screw-in replacement bulb. Also used to two 14500/1Ah lithium cells with "AA" to "D" cell adaptors. Additionally, had to bend negative batt contact spring to center. Applied drop of Caig Labs De-Ox-It to all pressure connections. Gained a few lumen & rechargeability!
