Oi, what a smell
I got this on a lark as I needed a travel humidor and wanted something of decent quality that would hold humidity and my cigars for a week long trip and this one looked pretty nice. First off, the lid barely seals on the canister which makes me wonder just how well it will hold humidity. I may try to fix it with a silicone 2.75" ID gasket. The humidifier stick that came with it seems a bit cheap, but most of the foam ones are. I now plan on tossing in a Boveda 72% in it when I use it instead. The hygrometer looks nice but mine was inaccurate and there is no way to adjust it. Besides, it registers all over the place. A salt test showed 85% (not 75%) and when placed in my humidor holding 72% it showed 60%. Finally, the smell. Mine did not smell of leather. It did not smell of cedar. It ... It had a pungent smell of epoxy or some other industrial petrochemical compound. I am leaving it open in the garage in hope it will air out and be useful. I have my doubts. With a smell like that I am rather loathe to put in any cigars deemed worthy of smoking for fear they will come out tasting like they were dipped in whatever it is. Lastly, PU leather is not leather and the name is somewhat misleading, even though 100% factual. I wish I'd researched it before my purchase. PU leather is polyurethane pure and simple. Your mileage may be better than mine. If you're a regular cigar aficionado you may wish to pass this one up. I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great cigar case
I was very surprised at the quality of this case and it's cuter. Seals very tight and is very sturdy but soft leather feel to the touch. Love the design and the color I bought it for traveling on my Harley.
