A special edition etched sword from 1969 for the US Moon Landing…see photos

The engraved metal plaque reads “SWORD BY WILKINSON SWORD OF LONDON TO HONOUR THE ACHIEVEMENT OF THE U.S.A. MOON LANDING” and also has the Apollo 11 landing capsule…see photos

The sword is 36” long…The wooden plaque is 42” x 6.5”…The plaque has holes in all 4 corners for mounting…It also has 4 smaller holes in the center, top of the plaque, perhaps from an old metal inscription plate?...The wooden plaque also several surface scratches…see photos

The sword has etchings of the lunar module, rocket, moon, & US Flag…The etching has faded some due to the age and patina on the blade…The back of the blade shows surface rust and pitting…Some surface wear and patina on the front of the blade as well…Brass hilt, knob and mounting hardware…Wooden handle with some scratches on the front…see photos

Even with all the condition issues, still a very cool and rare display piece…Would look great hanging on a wall…Sold as is with no returns…see photos
