WW2 Japanese steel helmet W/star For Sale

Obtained from a WW2 Vet. Many years ago. I asked a collector several years ago noted a Black underling under the OD green helmet paint, he said it was a type of shiney primer. I had 2 Japanese helmets 28 years ago & saw the same black finish, never asked at that time. what makes this helmet it has the STAR on front! most are missing . I have only seen 1 helmet with the LINER intact! out of the 20 or so Ive seen at shows or Collections. this helmet has the vent holes in top of helmet. correct rivets & liner attach points. it also has the most Important Helmet Item. ( during the war years a steel Helmet for hard hat & police & Fireman & construction worker for non military persons ( no!! Ridge raised part on top of helmet smooth) my helmet has the Raised hump ridge which is for strictly COMBAT.
