THESE ARE NOT PLATED machine made, or painted with cheap black paint that others are advertising for sale. These are made with pure Jeweler’s Bronze and Rodeo Nickel Silver.
Brass will turn green in time and Cheap silver plating will chip off the cast buckles.

BLOW UP THE PICTURES OF SOME OF THE OTHER BUCKLES FOR SALE. IF IT IS PAINTED BLACK AND HAS A SMOOTH OR PEBBLED BACKGROUND IT IS MOST LIKELY A CAST BUCKLE WITH PLATED LETTERING AND NOT HAND ENGRAVED. IN TIME THE BLACK PAINT AND SILVER DIP WILL COME OFF AND MAKE A VERY UNATTRACTIVE BUCKLE.
