The fountain pen was made to celebrate the 110th birth anniversary of the Japanese famous author 太宰治 Osamu Dazai, one of the most popular fiction writers in Japan.
The orange color of the pen is inspired from the cover of the first edition of Osamu Dazai's well-known novel No Longer Human (人間失格 Ningen Shikkaku).
This pen was a limited edition run of 500 made by Sailor in collaboration with WANCHER. The pen is made on the base of a Sailor fountain pen and has a gold plated Medium Fine nib. Each of the 500 limited pieces came with a unique serial number on the box. The number on this pen’s box is 473.
I have kept this new pen in the box since I bought it.
