Old Rare 7 UP Green Colored Old Dr J Townsends Sarsaparilla Medicine Bottle Nice For Sale

For sale we have a rare rich bright seven up green Old Dr J. Townsends Sarsaparilla New York medicine bottle. The color is a nice rich bright seven up green that is consistent throughout the entire bottle and a little darker in the thick parts of the glass. The bottle is a great window bottle and looks great in the sunlight. The bottle is in nice untouched original condition and has not been dug nor cleaned. The bottle has a smooth base and we date it to the late1870\'s. The top has a nice crude tapered applied lip and the base has a slight whittled kick up. The embossing is decent and very legible. We have not seen this Dr. Townsends variant in this color. The bottle has some bubbles and a crudity for a smooth base example. The bottle is large and the height is approx. 9 7/8\". The condition is nice with no chips, cracks, deep scratches or scuffs and no alterations. We only see a very small paper thin open bubble above the L in Old which we pictured and some spotty inside content haze seen when held to strong light. There is some light spotty outer base usage wear also present. Overall this is a nice example in a unusual coloration in very nice untouched original condition.
