Nice Antique Victorian Brass Hanging Spring Scale/Balance, c.1880-90
DESCRIPTION:Scans show it all. Very nice appearance, and great patina and visual aged look. Has a heavy wire ring to hang it on one end, then a large, sturdy hook for the item being weighed on the other end.
Scale in the middle appears to work well mechanically, although I haven\'t tested/calibrated it specifically. Scale ranges from 0 to 24. Again, I can\'t vouch for the specific accuracy. Sold as a collector\'s item and decoration.
Also stamped on the scale is \"Foster\'s Improved Spring Balance--Warranted\". Nice graphics, with Victorian look, c.1880-90. Scale face appears to be brass, so that it probably would clean up quite nicely. Body of it is steel.

SIZE/CONDITION:Excellent condition overall. Very slight bend at the bottom as shown. Measures 10 1/2\" overall, with the face measuring 1 3/4\" wide x 6 1/4\" long.
