Native American Coast Miwok Pestle For Sale

Amazing Coast Miwok ringed top pestle.found on private property near the ancient village site olompali near Novato calif. Olompali was the largest native village in Marin county which dates back to 500 ce and was the main center in 1200 ce. Spectacular workmanship and still displays incredible pecking on this museum quality pestle. This would not have been used for everyday use but would have been part of a shamans or medicine mans kit. And perhaps was used for reproductive quality’s and to crush/grind plants and herbs for a potions . Measures 6 inches.this is an extremely rare pestle no other examples are known not in any museum or any private collection.
