From the collection of Harvey Brower, a long time friend of Grapefruit Moon Gallery.Brower and founder Daniel Murphy first met in the late 1980s,introduced by the Minneapolis artist Don Holzchuh who also fronted the 1980s Minneapolis punk rock bandThe Warheads. Harvey loved collecting and dealing in old vintage pin-up lithographs and amassed a truly significant collection before his death in 2017. This vintage print comes directly from his estate.
Up for sale is a vintage original 1958 pin up print on a glossy stock paper. A quintessential cheesecake entanglement featuring a situationally challenged rosy cheeked bowling beauty titled "Spare?" by Art Frahm. An image from the embarrassment series "panties dropped" line that lives in pin-up infamy...this has all of the key elements of Frahm's signature embarrassment pieces: the pink panties, the astonished, but yet not quite bashful gleam in the eye of the model.
