I have a vintage Atmos Clock 528-8 Serial Number 527035 that is working. This is an as is estate sale find. It was found in a simple, unassuming home in Hillsboro, Texas. Please see photos for condition. Please note it has a front commemorative plate that reads:
Perry D. Beauchamp
30 Years
April 23, 1981
Exxon
The serial number for the clock is 527035. A couple of websites I found suggest that it was made in September of 1980, but you are free to investigate the serial number as well.
Here’s what the woman running the estate sale told me about the history of the clock:
“Daddy got this when I was quite young, my early 20s. The ceremony was lovely, when we came home Daddy said this was too fancy to put out so he put it in a box on the top shelf in his closet. And that’s where we found it when he passed. I’m not sure if he ever pulled out t down to fiddle with it or not.”
When they found it and when I purchased it the pendulum was locked. When I got home I leveled it as best I could noted the time on a post it note as 5:07 pm, and set a one hour timer and let it run. When the one hour timer went off the ATMOS clock read 6:07.
This beautiful Swiss Made clock can be yours if you win the sale. It will be boxed with the pendulum locked and ample cushion and foam inserted to ensure safe shipment to you. To the winner of this sale I say congratulations and happy offerding.
All items must be paid for within 48 hours of the end of the sale.
