nbsp; The Roman legion soldier stands nude, except for some regalia, looking to the horizon of a scarred battlefield. A top of his head he wears a galea, which is a soldier's helmet. A baldric straps across his chest which is leather belt typically used to carry a weapon. His paludamentum, which is cloak usually fastened to one shoulder, slides down his back falling in between his legs. A shield rests on shins as he fashions to repair a weapon. The bronze sculpture was cast using the age-old method of lost-wax casting and stained with a brown and gold patina finish for perpetuation. It is mounted upon a black marble base with the artist Huzel signature.
