Here you have a breathtaking, if tiny, sculpture in parian bisque ceramic -- with NO DAMAGE.

It depicts what I would call a \"Dickensian\" family. They are dressed in rags. The mother appears to be (discreetly) nursing the baby in her arms, while carrying another infant strapped to her back with a cloth. At her side is a third child -- a toddler -- wearing a hat (too large for him) to shade him from the sun, and with a bewildered expression on his face. All quite poignant.

This piece, though unsigned, is of the highest quality workmanship. The detail is incredible -- faces, tiny fingers, folds of the clothing, and hair. It is the work of a top-caliber artisan.

The sculpture itself is 6\" tall, and it is displayed under an antique glass dome with a beautifully formed mahogany base that shows plenty of age. Altogether, with base and dome, the piece is 8\" tall.
