This rare 8 inch diameter multi-colored plate was manufactured at the Regal & Sanejouand factory of Clairefontaine France.
The factory was founded in 1804 and highly desirable quality Majolica was produced there.
This plate features deep rich colors of green and brown with yellow highlights with a nice pooling of the glaze which produces the seductive green colors.
The anchor hallmark and letters R & S are impressed on the reverse against a handsome yellow glaze, along with three stilt marks.
The dish is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
