Antique C.1830's BURR & CHITTENDEN WOOD MOVEMENT CLOCK Mahogany Pillar Case. Old Clock, almost 200 years old! ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! Cosmetically in very Good vintage condition, well maintained and cared for. The movement looks good from what I can see, I tried to get pics inside. I tried for 2 days to get it running, it runs the momentum of the pendulum push and stops. The hands do not seem to set quite right? Replacements? Not sure if that is the problem? I am not a clock expert, unknown. Weighted movement, 2 heavy weights on string through the top. The rollers on top have metal caps, on is not attached but is included. This is an awesome feature, I have not seen before! The wood face is Wonderful with a gold raised paint and grape detail, has some honest age. Including all the paperwork I found inside. 2 are old papers explaining what level to hang, 1 is a hand written not from a 1977 Appraisal where they state 1810-1820. Finally is a business card from an antique shop, it states BURR & CHITTENDEN pre-1939. There is no original paper label, so I am going by the included paperwork.Lovely OLD CLOCK, needs some work, As I received it, estate find.Please see all 12 pictures, Make sure to scroll over to view ALL pictures.
