When considering what constitutes good pay dirt, location is important! This pay dirt is meticulously mined by hand 15’ down. It is directly off bedrock on an ancient dry river bed, below a well known large lode deposit. Orebodys are just as important to find as gold itself: Magnetite, Garnets and Quarts are all federally found in close proximity to this location, high in Placer County California.
All larger waste rocks are washed and removed! The dirt is then dried, mixed and sifted down to 3/16” (the size of the largest nuggets I have found in this location) and as always completely unstarched! Large nuggets are possible and found regularly in this gold rich dirt, though most of the gold is small flakes with pickers.
Gold is added to each bag so I can guarantee you will find gold! This makes this paydirt ideal for perfecting panning techniques or tuning in a sluice box set up. This way you won’t waste time and freeze your hands off in cold rivers while loosing and missing gold.
Other gold paydirt comes in from a third party or from shallow or ground level digs. My gold paydirt comes directly from my own shovel deep in the ground, from a hole dug with the specific purpose of the sale of the dirt itself!
