🔥 RARE Vintage 70s Mid Century Modern EERO AARNIO Ball Chair, Hollywood Estate:
$6500.00

This is an important and RARE Vintage Mid Century Modern EERO AARNIO Ball Chair, approximately dating to the 1970\'s. This chair is unmarked and has clear signs of age throughout. It is NOT new or a Chinese reproduction. Approximately 47.25 inches tall x 43.31 inches wide x 38.19 inches in depth. Acquired from a small private sale at a deceased estate in Hollywood, California. Good condition for age, with light staining to the fabric, some moderate sun-fading to the cushions and interior, and some sagging to the interior lining in the upper left corner (please see photos.) There is mild scuffing, scratches and paint loss to the shell and base of the chair. If you look at the bottom of the base, you can see that the fiberglass has yellowed from being decades old. I have only seen this on authentic 1970\'s era Eero Aarnio Ball chairs. Priced to sell. This is a real vintage piece at half the price of a brand-new reproduction on 1stdibs. Due to the size and weight of this piece, it is Free Local Pickup Only from Los Angeles County, California. If you like what you see, I encourage you to make an Offer. Please check out my other listings for more wonderful and unique artworks!

About the Eero Aarnio Ball Chair:

Finnish designer Eero Aarniois one of the first 60\'s modern furniture pioneers in using plastic and fiberglass in industrial and furniture design. These materials set designers free to createany shape and any color they wanted. One year after he had designed the Pastil Chair in 1968, Eero Aarnio received the American Industrial Design Award and countless other awards. The New York Times wrote about the Eero Aarnio Ball Chair and Pastil Chair at this time: \"the most comfortable forms to hold up the human body.\"

The AarnioBall Chair also impresses the user by the special acoustic. The Ball chair swallows the sounds and makes you feel isolated inside in a very pleasant way, even when set in a crowded place.
