View Larger Image   Bookcase Ornate Carving 19th Cent Lions   Description: Offering this handsome 19th century two door bookcase with heavily hand carved ornate designs of acanthus leaves, scrolls, and two lion heads at the top of sides. Front and sides are all carved. Stands on large paw feet in front and large round thick legs in back. Wood looks to be oak, retains its original ebony finish. Very well built piece - the majority of the wood used is over 3/4" thickness, shelves are thick and sturdy, measures 59 1/2 inches tall x 48 inches wide x14 inches deep. A truly unique piece. Includes the original key to lock the doors. Circa mid 1800's, most likely British in origin. The price does not include shipping and handling.
