I have another very old oak machinist box that I've had for years. Tried to find another but find out these are antiques now and upwards of $250-300 if you can find one in decent shape. So I decided to try the Trinity. The wood is a thin veneer over a some type of dense particle board, so it's probably not going to last the years a solid oak one would and also should not get wet. That being said the box works fine, is well made. finished well, and all parts work fine. Can't beat it for the price.

This is a reasonably well done, moderate cost tool box. Quite heavy. However there is one cloud to the silver-lining: The bottom drawer can get mis-aligned at the slightest movement and will get very 'stuck'. The box has very simple drawer mounts, and can easily get cocked causing the jam. The drawer directly above the bottom one can also get a tad cocked and the two will interfere with each other. The smaller upper drawers all move well enough - but you must use great caution when opening the wide bottom drawers. It turns out that the width of the drawers is off a bit making them too narrow. The result is that the drawers can "fall off" the interior guide rail and jam. This is especially bad on the 2 bottom drawers. As you look at the drawers you can see the space on the left or right end - the slop between the sides is such that you can slide the drawer left or right enough to have it slip off the interior guide rail and jam. If Trinity would just make the drawers the right width (i.e. good QC) this would be an awesome product!Read full review

It is a beautifully constructed box that seems to be of good quality. I will be using it to keep my machinist tools organized. It is a bit smaller than I would have liked, but it should do for now. My co-workers were impressed with it. If you don't have a lot of tools and don't care if those tools are kept in the protective boxes they come in it will work fine. For the price it cannot be beat.

Wood is best to control humidity of fine tools. This box is beautiful in appearance. It shipped fast and was well packaged. I am glad to see them making them yet. While it does not lock the hardware is very fine as well. I kind of wish they make a roller cabinet as well but understand that the drawers would be to heavy when loaded to slide well.

I am impressed with the quality of the toolbox from fit and finish to quality of lock, even of the corner bumpers and handles to the lined drawers. My wife even commented on how nice it looks. The following is my mistake but I put it here as a heads up: I missed measured or rather got the measurements of the box mixed up so it was too tall for the intended space I had for it. It would have been a perfect space, but now it is in plan B space which doesn't give ready access to the top area, but it will have to do. I would recommend this without question or qualification. Very good value.
