I bought this to replace the exact same Big Ben, I had purchased 2.5 years ago. That older clock lasted SO MUCH longer than other more expensive clocks that I have gotten stuck with --- from supposedly reputable Retailers in the last 7/8 years. But this one actually works! And for more than just a few weeks! My only problem with it it is that it is so dfificult to open the back of it---in order to put in the batteries.

Nice looking face on this clock which is the main reason that I bought it. It has the underpinnings of a Chinese-made product in that one needs a small screwdriver to put batteries in it.. not feeling like supporting foreign made products these days. Won't buy again.

This is a solidly made clock that is very easy to read. It's a great size; my only wish was that the face tilted up a little so it would be easier to read from a higher angle. This would make it more versatile (desk, etc.)
