It was there that the Continental Congress adopted the Articles of Confederation. Despite its lexical association with the Revolutionary War, the Yorktown Hotel reflects the history of another era, the Roaring Twenties. The 11-story, Renaissance Revival-style hotel was built in the middle of that eventful decade and reflects the vivacious spirit of the 1920s with 20-foot-high ceilings, ornate brass and crystal chandeliers, wood-paneled rooms and wall-sized mirrors.
