For sale: Acoma Wolf-Robe Huntmatching set of hand-made jewelry consists of 1 pair earrings, ring, and pendent. Sterling silver with what appears to be turn of the century Cerrillos Turquoise which is no longer available and rare to find (1900\'s). All stones have stunning color, are bezel set, accented with hand applied dots or raindrops andsilver elongated scrolls frame the bezel settings. Ring shank has hand stamped designs on sides, and is chisel split three ways for balance and support, making it very comfortable to wear.Sides of pendent feature detail etching of two thunderbirds. Hand construction shows creases and divets for hand working the silver and this is most present on the underside of the pendent, where the name Wolf-Robe was applied to silver. This setwas purchased at Chief Wolf-Robe Hunt\'s Arrowwood Trading Post in Catoosa, OK. The screwback earrings have been converted to pierced. Ring is a size 5 but could be made larger. Earrings measure 3/4\" long x 1/2\" wide, ring is 1 1/8\" long x 3/4\" wide, pendent is 2 1/4\" wide x 1 5/8\" long (from top of bale to bottom).All silver and turquoise in excellent condition with no scratches or flaws. Please view photos for visual description of the collection. Locating a matching set is very rare and extremely difficult to find. Beautiful vintage Native American Art to wear or collect. ***About the artist: Chief Wolf-Robe Hunt lived in Catoosa, OK from 1905 until his death in 1977. He was a member of the Acoma Nation and owned businesses in Tulsa and Catoosa including the Arrowwood Trading Post in Catoosa. He collaborated with Helen Rushmore by illustrating The Dancing Horses of Acoma and Other Acoma Indian Stories, published in 1963. Chief Wolf Robe Huntremains a fixture in Oklahoma Native American History and was a highly renowned Native American illustrator, painter, silversmith, artist, and sculptor of the Acoma Nation. His silver artistry continues to be greatly prized, collected, and highly treasured.
