WWII Army E.M. Waist Trouser Belt ("U.S. J.Q.M.D. 1945 40") OD#3 Web Mint NOS Unissued
This is a wartime ORIGINAL from the Jeffersonville Quartermaster Depot in Indiana made in the earlier Light Shade OD#3 suitable for wear with either the wool serge trousers or the HBT fatigues. This is NOT an inexpensive khaki reproduction from Lands End or one of the current suppliers of reproduction clothing. This is a dense, loom-woven webbing article manufactured in 1945 by the Army's oldest Depot: the Jeffersonville Quartermaster Depot.
These are surprisingly difficult to find today, especially in Mint NOS Unissued condition!
+ ZERO stains, wear, fraying to the webbing.
+ ZERO wear to the painted steel hardware.
+ This is boldly and legibly stamped in serif font with the “U.S.” surcharge and the initials for the Depot “J.Q.M.D.” and the year “1945”and the size “40.”
+ Unlike contemporary webbing belts, this one is loom-woven, i.e. both edges are identical. (Modern woven webbing was one tell-tale edge that is a lock-stitch edge!)
+ The total length of this piece from the Belt Tip to the end of the Open-frame is in fact 40", but this will only work for a 36-38" waist or smaller.
+ This is the 1-1/4" in width which in the correct Army width.
+ This is the correct Army Buckle with the with the raised ridges.
(The USMC waist belt is slightly wider and has an entirely different open frame buckle tongue.)
+ The Belt Tip and Open-frame Buckle (which is correct for the Enlisted Man's uniform) are of black painted steel.
