You are offerding on a group of WW2 Canadian items that belonged to a veteran of the Canadian Dental Corp. The lot includes;
- 8 pay books, 7 have the Vet attached to the Dental Corps but one is stamped on the bottom front cover, 32 Cdn Recce Rgt (B.M.), not sure why a dental tech would be attached to a Recce unit.
- C.D.C Identity Certificate, dated July 1944
- War Dept. Driving Permit, 1945-1946.
- Vehicle Shipment Card, marked Secret.
- Leather wallet.
- Booklet by Department Defence Canada, \"Order of Divine Service\" for Militia & RCAF, 1939.
- Childs \"War Drawing Book\" given by Sky\'s Pharmacy on Dupont in Toronto.
- Civilian war time road map of Guildford England.
- Seven photos, Three framed, largest is in a 10\"x12\" deco frame. Three 9 1/4\"x7\" photos 2 of which are the same and the other is a group pic & the last is a small photo of the vet.
- Pair of khaki sergeants stripes, removed from his battledress tunic.
- Two overseas service stripes, red & silver (looks white) also removed from uniform.
- medal ribbon bar, missing the ribbon for the war medal, the bar was crudely put together.
- Two service medals, CVSM with overseas clasp & the France Germany Star, both medals come with issued box. The medal group originally had 6 medals but these are the only ones that were left.
The vets name was, Sgt Thomas George Henery, Rgt # B5223 & he lived on Davenport Rd. in Toronto. His first pay book shows that he enlisted at Toronto as a Dental Technician on Nov 28 1939 & was in England on June 20 1940.
The overall condition is good but there is wear, staining and damage, worst is to the documents. Seven of the paybooks have been secured through the back covers with a device called The Grip Binder. The wallet has damage & the medals are in original unpolished condition.
