WW1 WW2 Italian army Shovel in used condition. You get the exact shovel pictured. The shovel was used in WW1 And WW2. You also get a WW2 era Italian canteen in unused or barely used condition BUT IT IS MISSING THE STOPPER FOR THE TOP. This sale also has 1 post WW2 mine marker tape reel. Also get AN Italian mirror, 2 French? Ties and 1 French leather pouch that need cleaning and oiling. THIS BOX IS PACKED FULL. All of this surplus together is a great deal. The shovel typically sells for 65.00 to 100.00 by itself. The canteen 50.00, Mine tapes 30.00, French leather pouches 25.00, ties 5.00. I had these last year and sold out quickly.

ITALIAN CANTEEN.........
WWII era ? Italian Mountain Trooper's aluminum canteen, complete with the often missing cap. You get one canteen like one pictured and they are Vg to excellent condition for their age.
Appears to be M1935 Italian Canteen.
I DO NOT KNOW THE HISTORY OF THESE CANTEENS OR HOW LONG THEY WERE MADE. I DO NOT SEE DATE MARKINGS SO I AM LISTING THEM AS SIMILAR ONES ON , THAT ARE SAID TO BE WWII CANTEENS. A buyer ASKED HOW I KNOW FOR SURE THEY ARE WWII ERA. I CANNOT GET THE WOOL OFF TO CHECK FOR DATES SO DO SOME RESEARCH AND ASK QUESTIONS BEFORE offerDING. I DO NOT WANT TO MISREPRESENT ANYTHING. That being said my research makes me confident these are in fact WW2 era.
You will not find many WWII era canteens in this condition. Especially the wool. This one appears to be new old stock. See pictures. Listing as used though.
UPDATE: I cut the wool cover off 1 canteen I have and cannot find markings at all on it. This one won't be for sale, just a reference for what is below the wool.

Original Item. This is a great example of a WWII Italian Mountain Trooper's oversize aluminum canteen, complete with the often missing cap. Additionally, these were issued in the North African campaign due to their large size. The Canteen and all metal fittings are aluminum, making this a very light canteen, and also very resistant to any type of corrosion in the field. The large size was great for mountain troops, as they were often far from where running water could be found. This capacity also worked very well in North Africa, due to the heat and scarcity of water in the field.
The canteen is in very good condition, with no issues or major dents that we can see. The wool covering is very good with no holes and no other moth damage or wear that we can see.
