Canadian First World War MkI Helmet with 73rd/78th Battalion CEF insignia. I have no history available on this helmet. It came from an sale as is. It is missing the chinstrap and the dome rivet/screw. The liner is present.

This helmet is stamped FS 173. I have tried to photograph the insignia as best I could. Many painted/decaled helmets are not genuine and I can not say one way or the other on this one, so please view the photos for your own determination. I have priced it lower than an attributed authenticated FWW painted helmet.
