This is a wonderful early just pre WW1 made trench watch featuring a Francois Borgel case and an IWC made movement Its winding and working well keeping great time , this watch has been serviced according to the seller within the last 5 years by a qualified watchmaker this would account for its good timekeeping and smooth wind the movement is a \"Lepine\" calibre 64 IWC 15 jewel 12 ligne with Breguet spring these were made until 1917 only ,and were used in pocket watches prior to these early wrist watches and many were foundin Hunter Or Half Hunter wristwatches.It would make an excellent birthday gift or early Christmas present for the trenchfan or collector & comes on a lovely new old stock dark brown GB made for fixed lugs leather strap .
PLS NOTE this was is pin or \"pousette\" set it sets via a pin at 4 o clock not by pulling the winder out you put your nail in and turn the hands simultaneously do not pull the crown out please it may break the watch .
This WW1 beauty measures around 37mm across inc crown 34mm without by 36mm lugs to lugs approximately so a nice sized wrist watch for the period.
