WW II Trench Art 1944 Sicily Italy Souvenir Fighter Airplane Figural Display For Sale

Being offered is a vintage, antique, WW II, world war 2, trench art figural display. The display is of a fighter plane which is made of aluminum and sits on a small brass ball. The airplane has Sicily and a date, 1944, etched into the wing top surfaces. The plane looks to have had a propeller at the nose, or a nose cone which is missing. There is also a divot or hole at the windshield side that is a manufacturing issue or was an issue in the aluminum piece when it was fashioned. The airplane is approx. 4 3/8" long, by 5 1/2" wide at the wing span, and approx. 2" tall. The stand is made from brass metal, and stands 8 1/8" tall including the aircraft perched on the stand.
