WW 1 US Tunic, Named, Bugler, Co. G, 317 Inf. Wound Chevron, Hat Cord, Orders For Sale

On Offer: A nice named US Army World War 1 Cotton Service Tunic, for the Bugler, Company G, 317th Infantry Regiment, 80th Division, with Victory Service Ribbon and onebronze star, wound chevron, two war service chevrons and red discharge chevron. The tunic is missing the collar buttons. Included with the tunic is a hat cord for the model 1910 campaign hat, two other unknown ribbons and four different extract ordersauthorizing the wound chevron, warservicechevrons and the Victory Service Ribbon with Bronze Star. Also included is one piece of Honey-Fruit brand chewing gum, broken in half. The tunic belonged to Addison L. Smith, from Mt Sidney, Va.The wound chevron and war service chevrons show some loss of stitching. The Victory Service Ribbon and light blue hat cord both show fading consistent with being 100 years old. The 80Div patch is in very good shape.The wound chevron was authorized for being wounded Aug. 15th 1918 near Hebuterne, France.The Victory Service Ribbon and Bronze Star was authorized for Engagements in the Picardy Sector, Somme Offensive, Aug 8th - 16th 1918.The orders were found folded up in the left breast pocket, the other items were found in the lower pockets.
