THESE INCREDIBLE MINIATURES OF MRS. POTTS AND CHIP ARE THE SCALED PERFECTLY TO FIT WITH THE OTHER WDCC BEAUTY AND THE BEAST CHARACTERS IN THE RIGHT PROPORTIONS. VERY LIMITED SUPPLY OF THESE.
This rare miniature set from WDCC features Mrs. Potts and Chip, the beloved characters from Disney\'s classic animated movie, \"Beauty and the Beast\". The intricate details and quality construction make this a must-have for any Disney collector. The set is part of the Special Miniature Enchanted Objects Series.
The figurines are approximately 1 3/4\" (Mrs. Potts) and 3/4\" (Chip). They come in their original box and packaging along with a Certificate of Authenticity. The piece was expertly sculpted by Disney Artist Jacqueline Perreault Gonzales.
NOTE ABOUT THESE MINIATURES: This special series of miniature Enchanted Objects from Beauty and the Beast were designed to be the perfect scale to go with the regular WDCC Beauty and the Beast figurines. Even though there are other larger versions of these characters, this version is the exact scale for people who want the real look of the characters as they are in the film.
These figurines were displayed for a short period in a sealed glass display case, and then packaged up in its box and stored in a closet with other WDCC figures. It is in excellent condition and would make a great addition to anyone\'s Disney or WDCC collection. The latch on the storage box has come loose and though the box shuts perfectly, this piece has come undone. Not a big deal, but thought I\'d mention it. Doesn\'t affect the box or the sculpture at all.
Here\'s a little about Beauty and the Beast from Wikipedia:
Beauty and the Beast is a 1991 American animated musical romantic fantasy film produced by Walt Disney Feature Animation and released by Walt Disney Pictures. It is based on the 1756 fairy tale of the same name by Jeanne-Marie Leprince de Beaumont (who was only credited in the French dub),[6] while also containing ideas from the 1946 French film also of the same name directed by Jean Cocteau.[7] The film was directed by Gary Trousdale and Kirk Wise (in their feature directorial debuts) and produced by Don Hahn, from a screenplay by Linda Woolverton.
Here\'s a little about the Walt Disney Classics Collection from their website:
The Classics Collection started in 1992 with three scenes, Bambi, Cinderella, and Fantasia\'s Sorcerer Apprentice. Many other series have since been introduced. Some figurines are limited, and some have been retired. Some of these figurines have risen high on the secondary market. The figurines are made of porcelain, and the process is similar to that use to make Hummel figurines. Individual pieces are molded, put together, and fired in an oven. Then they are painted and fired again. Each figurine is marked on the bottom, signifying the year it was produced. The marks represent significant milestones in Disney history. The figurines with the first year mark are usually the most desirable.
