See Photos. Comes from a clean non smoking home. In very good condition. Electric clock works and keeps time. Clock runs well. No hum or annoying sound. Globe spins and turns by hand (not connected to the clock). The name plate is already off and we will keep it that way in case someone wants to re-finish the base. One of the Bell Labs devices has also come off the base. We will ship it that way and the buyer can decide to re-affix. Given that this is hand made, was a retirement gift, and during research we could not find anything like this, we are declaring it rare and OOAK (one of a kind). Stands approx 23.5\" tall and weighs 20 pounds. Mid Century Modern design. Seller Lot #1960.
Presented to Alton C. Dickieson, VP of Transmission Development at Bell Labs in 1970, IEEE Fellow, and presented with the Distinguished Public Service Award. He joined what would become Bell Telephone Laboratories in 1923. You can find his biography via \"goog\" quite easily.
