Item: Vintage Large 7" Anthropomorphic Fillable Paper Mache Easter Egg Candy Container. There is rickrack type paper trim along the rim openings.
Paper mache scene on both sides features Mr and Mrs Chicken, (a rooster and a hen dressed in people clothes) and their brood of nine baby chicks strolling along with a baby carriage.
The insides of the egg are covered with a green all-over design paper with bunnies, chickens, eggs and chicks. There is some discoloration where the seams were glued down which show it is vintage. There are no marks for place of origin, but I believe it is from Germany.
