Vintage Wooden NAVY Scrapbook Trench Art Photo Album hinged 12 x 8, no pages
This scrapbook was in my late grandfather's effects, but I do not know if he made it or not.
Book has plywood covers, hinged by leather cords. The back cover is smooth. The front cover has "Navy" in scripts, and two pieces of wood that imitate strap hinges, nailed with what look like upholstery tacks. The edges of the front cover are scalloped.
Plenty of scuffs, but a great piece nonetheless.
It would be fun to put your own souvenirs or photos in this album, or to give it as a gift to a veteran friend or relative.
