Vintage Vaquero Braided Rawhide Romal Romel Rommel 52 inch Cowhorse Trail Reins

These traditionally styled vintage vaquero natural rawhide leather romal reins are a great length and weight with knotted bit ends with rawhide connectors and a popper end for added motivation for your horse. They are in well maintained supple pre-owned condition and measure a 8 feet 7 inches long from the bit to the popper. The reins are 52 inches in length by a little more than 3/8 inches in diameter with a 51 inch long by 5/8 diameter romal. The leather popper has been conditioned and is marked inside, but the black ink is illegible. This is a really nice pair of beautifully braided vintage reins, it is difficult to find similar quality in modern reins without paying alot more.
Rawhide offers a comfortable weight with and the uniquely weaved buttons and patterns provide detailed accents for a polished finish. Historically associated with the vaquero tradition of Western riding, romal reins are most commonly used in modern Western pleasure and equitation classes as well as reining and other working cowhorse events.
