Vintage South Bend 9\" Metal Lathe Headstock Assembly.
And Screw Head Gears.Clean, Antique. The gear assembly that was on the top end of the screw are included in this listing. Everything you see in the 1st 11 pictures.
This headstock show\'ssigns of honest wear and tear. But there is no obvious wear points.
I have a South Bend Lathe that I parted out. I just could not handle it for cleaning, listing, and shipping. A 9\" I believe. And also an antique. It was fairly clean so cleaning it was the easy part.
I am listing it in 5 lots not counting the bed and feet. I do not know that there is any interestin the bed. The bed serial number is 50982 and it is 36\" long.
Everything IsUsed And In Very goodCondition.
The apron worked very smooth before I disassembled the lathe. The screw from the lathe is 3/4\" with 8 threads per inch.
This listing is for one SB head assembly.The lathe pieces in the last 2 pictures are listed separately.
(I do not speak latheism. I do not know squat about lathes. I am trying but I amabsolutelyamazed at the numbers of parts, brands, types, Ect, ect on lathes.)
