Vintage Northern Illinois University Stadium Blanket Red 100% Wool 1950’s DeKalb, Illinois.
Excellent vintage condition. No flaws that I can see, just fold marks from being stored.
This heavy wool blanket measures approximately 71 inches by 61 inches. It has a black wool binding.
The red felt patch measures approximately 11 1/2 inches in diameter. It has thick black embroidery with the Northern Illinois University 1895 Logo. No other tags or markings.
I’m estimating the date to be late 1950’s since this is an estate sale find where NIU yearbooks were dated 1957 and 1958.
This beautiful blanket was carefully stored and never used.
