This truly is an unusual piece of art that Navajo silversmith Joseph rosetta artist began with a fantastic darling darlene Turquoise Gemstone that the silversmith cut and then sculptured a setting that embellishes it to a state of perfection.

Darling darlene Turquoise Darling Darlene Turquoise Mine

Discovered in the early 1970’s by Joe Barredo, the Darling Darlene Turquoise Mine has produced some BEAUTIFUL and interesting turquoise stones! Located in the Battle Mountain area of Nevada, this mine produced quite hard, usually vibrant gem quality turquoise of differing colors. Mr. Barredo named the mine after one of his daughters, Darlene, who unfortunately passed when she was a younger woman… and he mined the turquoise throughout the 1970’s, primarily with a son-in-law. The turquoise extracted could be light blues, dark blues, or even some greens. No longer an active turquoise mine, today the Darling Darlene Turquoise Mine is part of a larger gold mining operation. Very little turquoise was produced at Darling Darlene, in part because of the remote location, difficult weather conditions, and short mining season. The hardness, beautiful vibrant colors, and rarity make Darling Darlene Turquoise Jewelry not only desirable, but also collectible. This darling darlene Turquoise Ring is a historical piece of American heritage and will become an important heirloom in the future. Ring size 12 face of the ring measures 20mm×15mm 4.5mmband Ring weight 13.7grams great addition to your collection ❤️Joseph Rosetta from the Pueblo of Kewa (Santo Domingo) is a self-taught artist. Joseph is very passionate about the ancient ways of the pueblo people as well as other cultures. He incorporates many of the symbols and stories into his artwork; he also participates in the cultural activities of his people and is fluent in the Keres language.
