This is a beautiful mid-century table lamp by Marbro Lamp Company in Los Angeles, CA. The lamp and all components are in excellent condition. The porcelain white and yellow lamp features beautiful floral artwork, footed gold painted wood base and double cluster socket with brass ball chain pulls.The predominant colors of this hand-painted lamp is canary yellow over white. The gold leafed footed base is complimented on top by a golden braid.This lamp has the original wiring and sockets. Everything has been tested and is in good working order.Includes rotary switch on cord. Uses two standard 60 watt bulbs (100 watt max). There are NO chips in the porcelain portion.There is one chip on one of the wooden feet as seen in the photos. This does not affect the stability of the lamp and is purely cosmetic.

Marbro was at the pinnacle of luxury lamp companies during the 1950s through the 1980s. Their lamps were special ordered through interior designers and high end furnishing boutiques. An average Marbro lamp would cost well over a $1000 in today's dollars. Some were well over a $1000 at the time they were sold. Marbro imported the finest porcelain, pottery, brass and art glass from around the world. Artisans would assemble the lamps in their small factory using specialized components that were fabricated in house. Marbro lamps are well known to exhibit the finest construction in the industry.
